ACADEMIC SESSION 2024-2025

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

The school celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June 2024 with a mass Yoga Session organised in the school. Students from Nursery to Std X enthusiastically demonstrated a variety of asanas. The day commenced with chanting of hymns & prayers & followed with the performance of different yoga postures simple to complex from Pranayam, Surya namaskar, Padmasana, Bhujangasana etc in synchronization and harmony under the guidance of instructors. The session concluded with meditation.

Yoga imparted endurance, patience, attention, strength, and flexibility to the pupils during this session. In addition, in the morning assembly, speakers raised awareness of the value of yoga practice. Also, on exhibit were student-made charts detailing the advantages of various yoga asanas.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

‘Students of today are the leaders of tomorrow’

The School Investiture Ceremony was held on 25th June 2024 & 27th June 2024 for Secondary and Primary Sections respectively to foster leadership qualities and team spirit among the students.

The ceremony commenced with lighting of the lamp & Saraswati Vandana by the school choir group. The Principal, Dr. Lipika Chandra & Sr. Headmistress, Mrs. Deepa Bhattacharya then administered the Oath of Office to the newly elected members of the School Cabinet. Badges and Sashes were adorned to the office Bearers.This was followed by the candle ceremony wherein the School Principal passed the flame of hope and positivity to the School Captain and Sports Captain. Thereafter, the Principal addressed the Office Bearers. She congratulated and wished them to solemnly take up their duties and responsibilities with utmost dedication and diligence. The ceremony concluded with a speech by the School Captain, who pledged to maintain the sanctity of his post. The occasion was also graced by the Trustee and Administrator, Lok Foundations – Shri Bakul Avarani.

RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATIONS

Raksha Bandhan is a special bond of brotherly affection that lasts forever and provides protection. The School celebrated the festival of Rakshabandhan through Rakhi making competition for Std VI to VIII on 14th August 2024. The theme was ‘Ecofriendly Rakhi’.

Students made beautiful rakhis by using various biodegradable, sustainable and natural materials along with different colour palettes like warm , cool and rainbow colours.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

Lok Puram Public School marked the celebration of 78th Independence Day on 15th August 2024 with a plethora of activities for the students of Std VI to X conducted from 12th August to 15th August 2024. Activities such as speeches highlighting the contribution of our Freedom Fighters in attaining Independence, Inter-House Patriotic Song Competition, Poster making on ‘My Country, My Pride’, Slogan writing & Social Advertisement on ‘Flag of India’ & ‘Clean India, Green India’ etc were conducted.

Primary Section also celebrated Independence Day with full fervor and spirit with the activities such as Collage & Painting of the Indian Tricolour Flag, made National Symbols of India, Slogan Writing & Poster making on Patriotism & Patriotic Group Song Competition.

The day commenced with the Principal Dr. Lipika Chandra unfurling the National flag in the school premises followed by the National Anthem sung in unison. The Principal addressed the student cabinet & the staff members and encouraged everyone to contribute and play their crucial role in making Bharat a super power.

The celebration followed with patriotic songs,rendering of slogans & speech by the school captain, highlighting the glory of India.

Besides, the school in its initiative to foster sustainable development of the environment organized a tree plantation drive in Lok Upvan, Co-operative Housing Society wherein the children planted saplings promising their commitment to environment conservation.The occasion reinforced the spirit of unity, love and oneness amongst each one present there.

TEACHERS’ DAY

Teachers Day was celebrated on 5th September 2024 to pay respect towards the mentors & to commemorate the birth of the Second President of India – Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a philosopher and a great teacher.

Student teachers of Std X taught the students with great enthusiasm. The occasion was illuminated by the gracious presence of the Members of Management – Mrs. Rajniben Gandhi, Chairperson , Lok Foundations, Shri Bakul B Avrani, Trustee & Administrator ,Lok Foundations and Shri Ramesh Vora, Advisor, Lok Foundations.

Principal Dr. Lipika Chandra, leading the school at the forefront expressed her gratitude towards the school management for their constant blessings and strong support.

To make the day special, students of Std X along with the participants of Primary and Pre Primary sections enthralled the teachers with a short cultural programme to showcase their love & gratitude.

HINDI DIWAS CELEBRATION

Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 14th September 2024, through various activities for students of Std VI to IX, like Poster making, Slogan writing & Speeches highlighting the importance of Hindi language as our Rajbhasha.

ANNUAL BOOK EXHIBITION

Annual Book Exhibition 2024-25 was organised for the students & Parents on 4th & 5th October 2024. The occasion was also adorned by the Members of Management.

A wide selection of Books by Famous Authors, Coffee table Books, Activity Books, Atlas, Periodicals, Magazines, Resource books, Question Banks of various subjects & Journals were on display. This inculcates & promotes the reading habits in the students by choice and not by compulsion.

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS

Diwali, the festival of prosperity, lights & knowledge was celebrated on 21st October 2024, showcasing the creative brilliance of our students through a variety of engaging activities like Diya Decoration, Poster Painting on Diwali, Pot Painting, Paper Bag Making, Greeting Card Making, Salad Decoration, Rangoli, toran & Lantern Making etc.

ANNUAL DAY

Lok Puram Public School celebrated the Annual day and Prize Distribution Ceremony of Secondary Section on 7th December 2023 at Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruha, Thane with great enthusiasm and exuberance. The events were graced by the Members of Management, Mrs. Rajniben Gandhi- Chairperson, Lok Foundations, Ms. Umaben Muchhala- Member Governing Council, Lok Foundations, Shri Bakul Avrani – Administrator & Trustee, Lok Foundations , Mrs. Shradha Gandhi – Member Governing Council, Lok Foundations, Shri Ramesh Vora- Member Advisory Committee, Lok Foundations, Dr. Lipika Chandra, Principal, Lok Puram Public School, Mrs. Deepa Bhattacharya – Sr.Headmistress, Lok Puram School, the Dignitaries and Special Invitees.

The show embarked with the divine blessings of prayer song and the presentation of Annual Report by the Principal. It was a leaf through the meritorious AISSE Results, Achievements and Accomplishments, followed by the Felicitation and Prize Distribution ceremony of the students who set an exemplary record in AISSE Results, Scholastic, Co- Scholastic & Sports achievers.The highlight was the cultural show ‘Prayas’. The dance drama was woven through the threads of motivational life journey and famous literary works of the great poet Kalidasa. He exemplified that wings of potential can neither be clipped nor measured. It is through sheer practice, perseverance and persistence that any summit can be conquered.

The Annual Day of Primary & Pre Primary section was celebrated on 22nd January & 2nd February, 2024 respectively at Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruha, Thane. The cultural show ‘Colours of Life’ for grade III, VI & V and ‘Gift of Nature’ for grade I & II unfurled in all its splendor with a breathtaking performance by the students. The tiny- tots of Pre Primary mesmerised the large gathering with their power- packed performances on the theme ‘Children’s World’.

ANNUAL ATHLETIC MEET 2023 – 2024

The School celebrated its Annual Sports Day for Pre Primary Section, Primary Section and Secondary Section on 13th December 2023, 12th December 2023 and 5th January 2024 respectively. The esteemed dignitaries,Principal, Administrator & Trustee of Lok Foundations, Member Advisory Committee, Lok Foundations and Senior Headmistress were escorted with Guard of Honour to emblaze the occasion.

The day unfolded with the Oath taking ceremony & declaration of the ‘Sports Meet Open’ by the Principal. A well coordinated and high spirited march past under the leadership of the School Sports Captain was a feast to the eye. Carrying forth the excitement, various forms of exercise drills like yoga, gymnastics and zumba were performed. Lighting the Torch marked the setting of the track events.

The most awaited event of the day was the Prize distribution ceremony. Ruby House from Secondary Section and Topaz House from Primary Section were declared the Winning House of the year.

EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS

The School celebrated Earth Day through a week-long celebration from 22nd April 2023 to 27th April 2022. Our environmental legacy is a testament to the power of collective action to join hands in safeguarding our planet. The students of Std VI to X actively took part to step up the efforts to combat climate change, protect biodiversity, and preserve our ecosystems through the following activities:

Std VI – Chart Making with thumb impression of students promising to save the Earth.
Std VII – Poster Designing on ‘Connect with Nature’ using leaves, twigs, flowers etc.
Std VIII – Hanging Pot Making from plastic bottles.
Std IX – Accordion Making on ‘Ways to Reduce Carbon Footprints’.
Std X – Collage Making on ‘How Mother Earth is Reacting to the Destruction by Human Beings’

NATIONAL READING DAY

Lok Puram Public School celebrated National Reading week from 19th June to 24th June 2023 to honour the initiation of the library movement by P.N. Panickeron.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

The school celebrated 9th International Yoga Day with various activities on 21st June 2023 with a mass Yoga Session organised in the school. Students from Nursery to Std X excitedly performed various asanas which commenced with chanting of shlokas and concluded with Pranayam and Meditation. Beside this, awareness speeches on the importance of practicing yoga were delivered in the morning assembly. In addition Charts by students on various postures of yoga asanas and their benefits were also displayed.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

The School Investiture Ceremony was held on 28th June 2023 & 30th June 2023 for Secondary and Primary Sections respectively to encourage and kindle leadership qualities in young prodigies. The prestigious occasion commenced with Saraswati Vandana by the school choir group. Principal – Dr. Lipika Chandra & Sr. Headmistress Mrs. Deepa Bhattacharya pinned the badges to the members of Student Council and administered the oath of Office. The occasion was graced by the Trustee and Administrator ,Lok Foundations – Shri Bakul Avarani.

The School Captain, Sports Captain, House Prefects and Sports House Prefects adorned with sashes and badges took the responsibility of leading their school with utmost commitment, confidence and competence. Candles were lit to take the pledge to uphold the school motto of Loyalty, Truth and Honour in high esteem. The event reinstated faith in the calibre and leadership of future generations.

The School conducted a series of events under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav planned by the Government of India to create awareness and special focus on ‘Tribal Empowerment’.

MERI MAATI, MERA DESH

The school enthusiastically participated in the nationwide & people led ‘Janbhagidari’ initiative celebration of ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’. RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATIONS

Raksha Bandhan is an unique bond of protection & eternal sibling love. Lok Puram Public School took a step forward to create this incessant bond with the Motherland through Rakhi making competition for the students of Std VI to VIII on 12th August, 2023. The theme was ‘I Love My Tiranga’. The students made beautiful rakhis by using various materials representing the Tricolour.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

Lok Puram Public School celebrated the 77th year of India’s Independence on 15th August 2023 with solemnity and pride. The auspiciousness of the program began with Hon’ble Principal hoisting the National Flag. Pledge was taken holding the CLAY DIYAS to serve for the betterment & development of our nation. The significance of clay diya was to promote ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Viksit Bharat’ with the use of local products. The celebration caught momentum with the melodious patriotic songs and chanting of patriotic slogans. The day concluded with the tree plantation drive by the students and teachers to make Earth a greener planet.

TEACHERS’ DAY

Teachers Day was celebrated on 5th September 2023 to commemorate the birth of the second President of India – Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a philosopher and a great teacher. Student teachers of Std X taught the students with great enthusiasm. A short cultural programme consisting of Speeches, Dance and Songs was presented by the students of Pre Primary, Primary & Std X enthusiastically to showcase their love and gratitude towards their mentors.

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH WEEK

World Mental Health Week under the initiative of ‘Manodarpan’ by GOI was observed from 4th to 10th October 2023 for Std VI to IX through the activities like chart making, slogan writing, poster making etc. on the importance of inner happiness & socio-emotional aspects for holistic development. This initiative aims to provide psychosocial support to students, teachers and families for mental health and emotional well-being.

NATIONAL UNITY DAY

National Unity Day, to mark the birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was observed on 31st October 2023 for Std VI to IX with a plethora of activities like Designing Posters, Essay Writing, Collage making & Story writing to highlight the cultural harmony of ‘Unity in Diversity’ & the importance of solidarity for the development of the nation.

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS

Diwali, the festival of lights was celebrated on 26.10. 2023 through a cluster of creative & colourful competitions for students of Std VI to X like Diya Decoration, Designer Paper Bag Making, Pot Painting, Rangoli, Greeting Card, Toran & Kandil Making, Salad Making, Canvas Madhubani Painting etc. Students put their best creative foot forward & participated enthusiastically.

BHARATIYA BHASHA UTSAV

As directed by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the school celebrated Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav with the theme, ‘Bhashaye Anek, Bhav Ek’, on 11th December 2023. Students of Std VI to IX enthusiastically participated in the activities like creating a signature chart in regional dialect, giving self awareness speech in their mother tongue, singing songs & reciting poems in regional languages etc. This was an endeavour for the students to create interest in local languages and enhance linguistic tolerance, thereby promoting national integration.

VEER BAAL DIWAS

Veer Baal Diwas was celebrated to pay homage to the great valour and supreme sacrifice of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, the younger sons of tenth Sikh-Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji, on 23.12.2023. Multifarious activities were conducted for Std VI to X, like Story Narration on the valour and sacrifice of Sahibzadas, Animated Movie ‘Chaar Sahibzada’ depicting their ethics and values was shown, Picture Gallery was made on the life of Zorawar Singh ji and Fateh Singh ji & students participated in the online Quiz of ‘My Bharat Portal’.

MAKAR SANKRANTI

Makar Sankranti, the auspicious festival of Uttarayan, also known as the harvest festival was celebrated on 16.01.2024 with great zeal. Tiny tots of Pre Primary created beautiful artworks depicting the various celebrations of Makar Sankranti. Students of Std VI to VIII made kites with messages and quotes on them. Speech on the astronomical aspect behind the celebration was disseminated as a part of the morning assembly. Students also presented folk songs expressing joy over the advent of a new harvest season.

REPUBLIC DAY

The school celebrated 75th Republic Day with great patriotic fervor on 26th January, 2024. The programme commenced with the unfurling of the tricolour by the Administrator & Trustee, Lok Foundations & the Principal. The attendees saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves to uphold the honour, integrity, and uniqueness of the country. Students showcased unity through a spirited march past, stirring motivational speeches and harmonious Patriotic group singing. The event concluded with the National anthem.

FAREWELL CEREMONY OF STD X (2023 – 2024)

Lok Puram Public School conducted the Farewell Ceremony for the students of Std X on 2nd February, 2024. It was a burst of cheerful greetings and heartfelt good wishes as the students were embarking on their journey of future success. Principal & Members of Management blessed the students with Tilak Ceremony. Fun n frolic filled the air with the presentation of a short cultural programme ‘Yadein’ by the students of Std VIII & IX. Awards, games,music, drama, cultural folk & western dances kept the students tapping their feet. The final words of the Principal,motivated & instilled confidence in the students for their upcoming examinations & future endeavours.

The show commenced with the invoking of Goddess Saraswati and the presentation of Annual Report by the Principal. It was a glance through the meritorious AISSE Results, achievements and accomplishments. The programme set forth with the felicitation and prize distribution ceremony of the students who set an exemplary record in AISSE Results, Scholastic and Co- Scholastic achievers, budding sports stars of various inter school, zonal, state and national level competitions.The Cultural show ‘Kabir – Ek Vicharhighlighted Saint Kabir’s teachings of communal harmony, unity, fraternity and moral conduct.

Annual Days of Primary and Pre-Primary sections were celebrated on 23rd January 2023 and 16th February 2023 respectively at Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruha, Thane. The cultural show ‘Harmony’for grade III, VI & V and ‘Children’s World’ for grade I & II unfolded in all its grandeur with a spectacular performance by the students.

The theme ‘Harmony’ depicted the importance of peace and universal brotherhood whereas‘Children’s World’ depicted the sweetness and innocence of children. The tiny- tots mesmerised the large gathering with their power- packed performances. The audience were enthralled by the scintillating performance of the students.

ANNUAL ATHLETIC MEET 2022 – 2023

The School celebrated its Annual Sports Day for Pre Primary Section ,Primary Section and Secondary Sectionon 15th December 2022, 16th December 2022 and 6th January 2023amidst great enthusiasm and camaraderie. Principal, Trustee of Lok Foundations, Member Advisory Committee, Lok Foundations and Senior Headmistress were escorted with Guard of Honour to grace the occasion. The day started off with the lovely rendition by the choir to pay salutations to the Lord Almighty. The event had its grand opening with the Oath taking ceremony and declaration of the Meet Open by the Principal. This was followed by the Inter-House March Past, a glorious and well-synchronized event where the four houses aimed for first place.Highlight of the day was the lighting of the Torch which was carried by our National, State and Zonal level Champions.The audience next witnessed various high energy performances like Yoga, gymnastics etc symbolizing the importance of fitness in our daily lives. The displays made way for the highly awaited athletic events where competitiveness among the students soared through the roof.

The teachers and the staff also got an opportunity to prove their physical fitness by participating in various races.

The last event of the day was the prize distribution ceremony. Emerald House was declared the Winning House of the year.The whole gathering with immense pride sung the National Anthem. Beating of the Retreat marked the splendorous end of the day.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

‘ Freedom in the mind, Strength in the words, Pride in our souls & Zeal in our hearts, Let’s salute our motherland’

Lok Puram School celebrated the 74th Republic Day on 26th January, 2023 instilling the patriotic fervour in mind and soul. The Principal hoisted the National Flag amidst notes of the National Anthem. Students and teachers took oath and rendered melodious compositions representing the devotion, loyalty and passion to serve the nation with one’s integrity. On the eve of Republic day, students voiced their feelings for the Nation, adding patriotic hues to the celebration.

FAREWELL CEREMONY OF STD X 2022-23

Lok Puram Public School conducted the Farewell Ceremony for the students of Std X on 13th February 2023. The event reminisced their fun filled days in school and expressed how difficult it was for them to go out of the portals of their alma matter. A display of cultural programme was presented by the students of std IX. Upholding values of cultural unity in diversity, the students brought in the fervour and festivity of celebrations through music, folk and western dances.The final words of motivation and encouragement was delivered by the Principal. She blessed the students for their future journey.

NATIONAL READING DAY

Lok Puram Public School celebrated National Reading Day on 28th June 2022 to inculcate the habit of reading and appreciating the importance of books in this digital era. Activities such as Creative Writing, Essay Writing on ‘Why I Read Books’ & Report Writing on Magazines were conducted for Std I to X.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

Yoga provides a holistic approach to health and well-being of our students, by keeping a healthy balance of mind and body. The school marked the 8th International Yoga Day with a week-long celebration from 14th June to 21st June 2022. A small programme was organised in which the importance of yoga in everyday life was shared. Also, the activities like Slogan writing, Paper Bag Making with message, Sketching on Asanas, Poster Making on various Asanas and Logo Making for Yoga Day were conducted for Std VI to X.

The celebration concluded with students demonstrating yoga asanas, warm up exercises, breathing techniques like Pranayam, Meditation and Relaxation. Students were encouraged to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration as they showcased a very energetic and spirited performance!

The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2022 – 2023 was held on 30th June 2022 with great pomp and dignity. The programme commenced with the Principal administering the Oath of Office and pinning the badge ceremony. The office bearers took oath and pledged their commitment to be the flag bearers of the institution and take it to new heights. The zeal of the Council was reflected in their confidence and dedication to shoulder the new responsibilities.

RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATIONS

The endearing bond of brother and sister was celebrated with great festivity and gaiety on 23rd July, 2022. Raksha Bandhan celebration commenced with a special morning assembly. A talk was presented to mark the significance of the occasion. This was followed by Rakhi Making activity for Std VI to VIII. The theme was ‘Best out of Waste’. Students made beautiful rakhis with the use of biodegradable, eco-friendly and natural materials along with different colour palettes like warm colours, cool colours and rainbow colours.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

Lok Puram Public School proudly celebrated Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, i.e, India’s 75th Independence Day on 15th August, 2022. A week long array of activities were conducted from 9th to 17 th August, 2022 such as Slogan Writing, Poster Making, Making of Badges on National Symbols, Drawing and Painting & Patriotic Song Competition.

Primary Section also celebrated the week long Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav with full fervor and spirit with the activities such as Dressing up as National Leaders and speaking about them, Drawing and Coloring of National Flag, creative Slogans on the 75th Year of Independence, Quiz on National Leaders & Essay Writing.

The day started with the hoisting of the National Flag by the school Principal, Dr. Lipika Chandra. She, in her address to the gathering, expressed pride in the rich cultural past of the country. She dedicated her speech to the stalwarts of the country who gave their lives for the freedom of the country. She urged every student to work with honesty and dedication so that our nation soars to monumental heights. To mark the occasion, teachers as well as students of Std IX & X enthusiastically participated in Prabhat Pheri & joined hands in ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign by hoisting the National Flag in their respective homes.

On 17th August, 2022, the entire school, including the Principal, Teaching Staff, Non – Teaching Office Staff, Students and Support Staff sang the National Anthem at 11AM sharp to salute the motherland.

TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

The school celebrated Teacher’s Day on 08.09.2022, to mark the occasion of Dr. Radhakrishnan’s birthday with great zeal and zest. Teacher students of Std X took the mantle of teaching for a day and enthusiastically played their role in the junior classes. A short cultural programme was presented by the students of Std X, VII & Pre Primary to express their gratitude to the teachers.

HINDI DIWAS CELEBRATION

Hindi Diwas was observed on 12.09.2022, by conducting the special morning assembly in Hindi. Importance of Hindi language as our rashtra bhasha was delivered through speeches by teachers and students. Students also recited self composed poems in Hindi.

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS

Diwali, the festival of lights was celebrated on 30.09.22 with the ingenious sparkle of creative brilliance of our students through an array of activities like Diya Decoration, Paper bag making, Pot Painting, Rangoli making Greeting Card Making, Salad Decoration, Toran making, Kandil making and T- Shirt Painting.

Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Programme organised by CBSE was celebrated during October & November 2021 by organising several activities as a part of Art Integrated Learning in all main subjects. AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV

Celebrating the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence, Lok Puram Public School conducted a series of events under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav planned by the Government of India to create awareness regarding India’s Freedom Struggle. Students participated in the following activities:

On the occasion of Independence Day a Quiz was conducted for students of Std VII and VIII on India’s Freedom Struggle and Gallantry Award Winners. Apart from this, videos on wars won by India and on bravery acts of our soldiers were shown to the students during Online classes.

SURYA NAMASKAR ACTIVITY

A stunning display by the students of Lok Puram Public School, performing Surya Namaskar was put on show virtually as well as live from 17th January to 6th February 2022 by the students of Std I to X. Students enthusiastically performed the Surya Namaskar activity following the step by step process of – Prayer Pose, Arms, Hand to Foot, The Horse pose, Stick Pose, Saluting, Cobra pose, Mountain pose and again back to Horse Pose, Hand-to-foot pose, Raised Arms and finally Relax posture. Energetic participation with coordination and composure was witnessed during the event.

STORY TELLING ACTIVITY

Students from Std III to X enthusiastically participated in Story Telling competition under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative. It enhanced the communication skills, fostered imagination and improved the cultural and social understanding of their region and country.

NATIONAL READING DAY

Lok Puram Public School celebrated National Reading Day on 18th June 2021 to encourage reading among the students. PPT presentations, speeches, videos and a period of ‘Whole school reading together’, motivated everyone to increase the habit of reading, as it improves concentration, vocabulary, and knowledge and helps one understand various aspects of literature and language.

YOGA DAY

Yoga has become an indispensable part of our lives, especially in the current scenario of pandemic.The school celebrated the International Yoga Day on 21st June 2021 by conducting an Online Live Yoga Session and an Online Quiz on Health and Yoga. Students performed the asanas in synchronisation and harmony under the guidance of school PT instructors. Through this session, Yoga instilled in students the qualities to perseverance, patience, confidence and working towards their goals. Yoga also provided tools for practicing compassion, mindfulness, generosity, focus, strength, and flexibility.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

Students of today are the leaders of tomorrow. They are groomed, developed and raised in the world of an educational institution through diverse portfolios that are offered to mark a difference. With this objective the Investiture Ceremony was celebrated on 4th August 2021. The newly-appointed council members were adorned with badges. All the designated members took the oath, promised to serve the institution and perform their duties whole-heartedly and sincerely. The elected members were brimming with confidence to shoulder the assigned duties.

The 75th Independence Day was celebrated virtually with enthusiasm and gaiety. The day was marked with a short programme of speeches, PPT presentation and patriotic songs by the students.It revitalized the memories of the fighters’ struggle for freedom alive in our minds. Also, it allowed students to value our future, hard-attained freedom and communal harmony.

RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION

The festival of Rakshabandhan, depicting the endearing bond of brother and sister was celebrated through Rakhi making competition for std VI to VIII on 18th August 2021. Students put their best foot forward with their creative rakhis made out of home available natural materials and biodegradable materials like flowers, leaves, grains, spices, tea leaves etc.

TEACHERS’ DAY

Teachers’ Day was celebrated virtually on 4th September 2021. Students of every class performed a small programme to mark their gratitude towards their mentors. Student teachers took the mantle of the role of their teachers and enthusiastically taught the children online. Also, the students of Std X presented a cultural programme to show their reverence towards the teachers.

SWACHHATA MISSION

Recognising the vital role of the students in nation building, Lok Puram Public School virtually organised an array of activities on cleanliness and self hygiene. RASHTRIYA POSHAN MAH

Lok Puram Public School celebrated the 4th Rashtriya Poshan Mah during the month of September, 2021 to accelerate various activities of Poshan Abhiyan and to create an awareness to reduce the level of stunting, under – nutrition, low birth weight in children and anemia in adolescent girls, in the process by adhering to COVID – 19. Our students enthusiastically participated in the cause by reaching out to the needy by donating nutricious food items.

Students of Lok Puram Public School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with various activities like Speeches, PPT presentations, Poster making and Slogan Writing. The students put their best foot forward assimilating the values of patriotism with their creative skills.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

Lok Puram Public School celebrated 73rd Republic Day with great patriotic fervor on 26th January, 2022. The programme commenced with the unfurling of the tricolour by the Principal Dr. Mrs. Lipika Chandra. The attendees saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves to upholding the honour, integrity, diversity and uniqueness of the country. Patriotic songs were sung. The event concluded with the National anthem.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

73rd Independence Day was celebrated with deep reverence for the nation on 15th August 2020. The Principal along with the Headmistress hoisted the National Flag . To mark the day, all the students made tri -colour flags and pinned the flags on their uniform during the online classes. Online Patriotic Song and Speeches glorifying the nation on Independence Day were also presented by the students.

TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION

Teachers Day was celebrated online on 5th September 2020. Students of Std X enthusiastically prepared a short programme comprising of Speeches, Dance and Songs to showcase their love and gratitude towards their mentors.
