ACADEMIC SESSION 2024-2025

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

The school celebrated  International Yoga Day on 21st June 2024 with a mass Yoga Session organised in the school. Students from Nursery to Std X enthusiastically demonstrated a variety of  asanas. The day commenced with chanting of hymns & prayers & followed with the performance of different yoga postures simple to complex from Pranayam, Surya namaskar, Padmasana, Bhujangasana etc  in synchronization and harmony under the guidance of instructors. The session concluded with meditation.  

Yoga imparted endurance, patience, attention, strength, and flexibility to the pupils during this session. In addition, in the morning assembly, speakers raised awareness of the value of yoga practice. Also, on exhibit were student-made charts detailing the advantages of various yoga asanas.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

 ‘Students of today are the leaders of tomorrow’

The School Investiture Ceremony was held on 25th June 2024 & 27th June 2024 for Secondary and Primary Sections respectively to foster leadership qualities and team spirit among the students. 

The ceremony commenced with lighting of the lamp & Saraswati Vandana by the school choir group. The Principal, Dr. Lipika Chandra & Sr. Headmistress, Mrs. Deepa Bhattacharya then administered the Oath of Office to the newly elected members of the School Cabinet. Badges and Sashes were adorned to the office Bearers.This was followed by the candle ceremony wherein the School Principal passed the flame of hope and positivity to the School Captain and Sports Captain. Thereafter, the Principal addressed the Office Bearers. She congratulated and wished them to solemnly take up their duties and responsibilities with utmost dedication and diligence. The ceremony concluded with a speech by the School Captain, who pledged to maintain the sanctity of his post. The occasion was also  graced by the Trustee and Administrator, Lok Foundations – Shri Bakul Avarani.

RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATIONS

Raksha Bandhan is a special bond of brotherly affection that lasts forever and provides protection. The School celebrated the festival of Rakshabandhan through Rakhi making competition for Std VI to VIII on 14th August 2024. The theme was ‘Ecofriendly Rakhi’.

Students made beautiful rakhis by using various biodegradable, sustainable and  natural materials along with different colour palettes like warm , cool and rainbow colours.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

Lok Puram Public School marked the celebration of 78th Independence Day on 15th August 2024 with a plethora of activities for the students of Std VI to X conducted from 12th August to 15th August 2024. Activities such as speeches highlighting the contribution of our Freedom Fighters in attaining Independence, Inter-House Patriotic Song Competition, Poster making on ‘My Country, My Pride’, Slogan writing & Social Advertisement on ‘Flag of India’ & ‘Clean India, Green India’ etc were conducted.

Primary Section also celebrated Independence Day with full fervor and spirit with the activities such as Collage & Painting of the Indian Tricolour Flag, made National Symbols of India, Slogan Writing & Poster making on Patriotism & Patriotic Group Song Competition.

The day commenced with the Principal Dr. Lipika Chandra unfurling the National flag in the  school premises followed by the National Anthem sung in unison. The Principal addressed the student cabinet & the staff members and encouraged everyone to contribute and play their crucial role in making Bharat a super power. 

The celebration followed with patriotic songs,rendering  of slogans & speech by the school captain, highlighting the glory of India. 

Besides, the school in its initiative to foster sustainable development of the environment organized a tree plantation drive in Lok Upvan, Co-operative Housing Society wherein the children planted saplings promising their commitment to environment conservation.The occasion reinforced the spirit of unity, love and oneness  amongst each one present there. 

TEACHERS’ DAY

Teachers Day was celebrated on 5th September 2024 to pay respect towards the mentors & to commemorate the birth of the Second President of India –  Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a philosopher and a great teacher.

Student teachers of Std X taught the students with great enthusiasm. The occasion was illuminated by the gracious presence of the Members of Management – Mrs. Rajniben Gandhi, Chairperson , Lok Foundations, Shri Bakul  B Avrani, Trustee & Administrator ,Lok Foundations and  Shri Ramesh Vora, Advisor, Lok Foundations.  

 Principal Dr. Lipika Chandra, leading the school at the forefront  expressed her gratitude towards the school management for their constant blessings and strong support.  

 To make the day special, students of Std X along with the participants of Primary and Pre Primary sections enthralled the teachers with a short cultural programme to showcase their love & gratitude.

HINDI DIWAS CELEBRATION

Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 14th September 2024, through various activities for students of Std VI to IX, like Poster making, Slogan writing & Speeches highlighting the importance of Hindi language as our Rajbhasha. 

ANNUAL BOOK EXHIBITION

Annual Book Exhibition 2024-25 was organised for the students & Parents on 4th & 5th October 2024. The occasion was also adorned by the Members of Management. 

A wide selection of Books by Famous Authors, Coffee table Books, Activity Books, Atlas, Periodicals, Magazines, Resource books, Question Banks of various subjects & Journals were on display. This inculcates & promotes the reading habits in the students by choice and not by compulsion.

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS

Diwali, the festival of prosperity, lights & knowledge was celebrated on 21st October 2024, showcasing the creative brilliance of our students through a variety of engaging activities like Diya Decoration, Poster Painting on Diwali, Pot Painting, Paper Bag Making, Greeting Card Making, Salad Decoration, Rangoli, toran & Lantern Making etc.
