ACADEMIC SESSION 2025-2026

World Environment Day Celebration

On June 5, 2025, our school enthusiastically celebrated World Environment Day with a series of engaging, student-led activities focused on raising environmental awareness. Each class contributed in unique and meaningful ways. Class 6 created informative charts on clean energy, highlighting the importance of sustainable power sources. Class 7 showcased creativity through a ‘Best Out of Waste’ competition, transforming everyday waste into useful items. Class 8 presented detailed flowcharts on land degradation, explaining its causes and suggesting preventive steps. Class 9 focused on tiger conservation by marking tiger reserves on the map of India, learning about their locations and the need to protect them. Class 10 poured their thoughts into touching poems on “Save the Roar,” blending emotion with a strong message for wildlife protection. The event was a powerful reminder of the role students can play in building a greener future.

International Yoga Day

Yoga is the golden key that unlocks the door to peace, tranquility, and joy.”

On 21st June 2025,International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students and teachers at Lok Puram Public School with great enthusiasm. Students of grade I to X demonstrated various yoga asanas. The School Principal along with staff members participated actively in the Yoga session. The students demonstrated postures ranging from the gentle calm of Pranayama, the energizing flow of Surya Namaskar, to the poised strength of Padmasana and Bhujangasana. Each asana performed in synchrony, reflecting unity, balance, and coordination was not merely a physical exercise, but a soulful experience that nurtured body, mind, and spirit.

Investiture Ceremony

‘Shaping Leaders, Crafting Futures’

The investiture ceremony was an occasion to celebrate the indomitable spirit of resilience and empathy and felicitate the new torch bearers of the student body The newly elected Student Council of the primary section were sworn in at the Investiture Ceremony held on the 24th of June, 2025 followed by the secondary section ceremony on the 26th of June 2025.

Initiated by the traditional lighting of the lamp, it was a sight to behold as the School Captain, Vice-captain,Sports House Captain and Vice Captains followed by the office bearers from each class, marched smartly to receive their sashes and badges from the Principal .The Principal administered the oath to the council members.

The office bearers were pinned badges by Trustee and Administrator ,Lok Foundations Shri Bakul.B. Avarani and the School Principal. The investiture ceremony ended with a promise of hardwork and dedication and unwavering zeal by the newly appointed office bearers.

Scholastic Book Exhibition

The Scholastic Book Exhibition was held on 26th July 2025 for students and parents. A wide range of books—including works by renowned authors, coffee table books, activity books, atlas, magazines, journals and question banks—were showcased. The event aimed to foster a love for reading by choice, not compulsion, encouraging students to explore the joy of books.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration

To strengthen the bond of love between brother and sister and to enhance the creativity of students Rakhi making Competition was organized on 2nd of August for all classes.

The enthusiastic participants created beautiful handmade rakhis using different articles like thread ribbon stickers etc. It was quite fascinating to see a myriad of colourful rakhis weaved with love and affection in an eco – friendly way.

Independance Day Celebration

On 15th August 2025, the school celebrated 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The entire school was decorated with tricolour flags, balloons and handmade posters made by students, creating a festive atmosphere.

The Principal hoisted the national flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. In an inspiring speech, the Principal spoke about the significance of the day, paid tribute to the freedom fighters, and encouraged students to work hard and contribute to building a better India.The School Captain addressed the gathering and spoke about the responsibilities of the youth in shaping the future of the nation. His speech was confident and motivating, highlighting the importance of unity, hard work, and discipline.

A cultural programme followed, wherein both students and staff sang patriotic songs that filled the atmosphere with pride and emotion. The performances were heart-touching and reminded everyone of the sacrifices made for our freedom.

As part of the day’s events, a Tree Plantation Drive under the CBSE initiative ‘Ek Ped Maa Kay Naam’ was organized within the school campus. Students enthusiastically planted saplings, promoting the message of a green and sustainable future thereby contributing towards a cleaner and greener India.

Teachers Day Celebrations

Teachers’ Day was joyously celebrated on 4th September 2025, to honour the mentors who shape minds and nurture futures. The day also marked the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India — a revered philosopher, statesman, and an exceptional teacher whose life continues to inspire generations.

In a heartwarming tribute, the student teachers of Std X stepped into the shoes of their mentors and conducted classes across the school with great enthusiasm and confidence, bringing energy and excitement to the day.Activities for bagless day were pre-planned complete with subject integrated games,hands on learning and interactive method.

The cultural celebration was further elevated by the gracious presence of the Members of Management —
Mrs. Rajniben Gandhi, Chairperson, Lok Foundations,Shri Bakul B. Avrani, Trustee & Administrator, Lok Foundations , Shri Ramesh Vora, Advisor, Lok Foundations,Dr Lipika Chandra,Member Governing Council,Lok Foundations and Principal Mrs Manjusha Bapat.

Their presence and encouragement added a special significance to the occasion.The Principal expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the management for their continued support and guidance, which empowers the school to strive for excellence.

To mark the spirit of the day, the students of Std X, along with enthusiastic participants from the Primary and Pre-Primary sections, presented a delightful cultural programme. Through song, dance, and expression, they celebrated their teachers and conveyed deep appreciation for their tireless efforts and boundless dedication.

The day was a true reflection of love, respect, and the profound bond shared between teachers and students — a celebration of learning, inspiration, and heartfelt gratitude.

BAGLESS DAY IN SCHOOL

Bagless Day was observed on September 4,2025.Students celebrated learning in a fun, hands-on way through a series of engaging and interactive activities across subjects. In English, they created positive affirmations to boost confidence and language skills. Maths came alive with experiential learning—students explored concepts like the midpoint theorem, perimeter, area, and perfect squares through games such as tic-tac-toe and creative activities. Picture comprehension exercises on the whiteboard enhanced visual thinking and interpretation skills. In Social Studies, students brought history and civics to life through role play, making learning both memorable and meaningful. The day concluded with an exciting quiz that sparked healthy competition and reinforced knowledge. It was a joyful celebration of learning beyond books!

Hindi Diwas Celebration

Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 14th September 2024 with great enthusiasm across classes VI to IX. To mark the occasion and to honor Hindi as our Rajbhasha (official language), a series of engaging activities were organized for the students. These included poster making, slogan writing and inspirational speeches that emphasized the significance and rich heritage of the Hindi language.

The celebration aimed to instill a sense of pride in our national language and to encourage students to appreciate and promote the use of Hindi in their daily lives.

Annual School Book Exhibition 2025-2026

To promote reading culture among young learners and inspire them to make reading a lifelong habit, Annual School Book Exhibition was held on 26th and 27th of September 2025.The exhibition received an overwhelming response from students, teachers and visitors. The event successfully showcased a wide range of books across various genres, encouraging love for reading and learning.

Swacchta Fortnight

Swacchta Fortnight was observed in the school from 16th September to 30th September as per the directives of State Education Department with the objective to sensitize students about cleanliness and proper disposal of waste. As part of the initiative students took a pledge on cleanliness. Various activities such as essay writing, slogan making, poetry recitation, painting etc. were carried out .

World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day which serves as a crucial occasion to raise global awareness about the importance of mental health was observed in the school on October 10,2025.

A gratitude wall was made to display gratitude cards prepared by children. Charts portraying the importance of millets in developing a healthy mind and body served as an eyeopener to all. Yoga and meditation sessions for mental health enhancement and harmony were conducted in the entire school.

Celebration of 150 Years of Vande Mataram

The school celebrated 150 years of Vande Mataram on 7th November 2025 through mass singing of the national song, essay writing, poster making etc on the same.

Janjatiya Gaurav Diwa

Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas was celebrated on 15th November 2025, to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, acknowledging his contribution to the freedom struggle and cultural heritage. Awareness activities like speeches, story telling, documentary on Birsa Munda, tribal art forms were focussed upon to provide insight about the sacrifices and contributions of Janjatiya heroes in the freedom struggle of India.

Annual Project Display 2025–26

Annual Project Display 2025–26 on the theme “Journey to Space” was held on 22nd November 2025. Students from the Primary Section prepared informative charts and creative models and confidently explained their topics to parents. Each class explored different subtopics: Std I – The Story of Sky, Std II – Meet the Planets, Std III – My Rocket Adventure, Std IV – Life of an Astronaut and Std V – Space Explorers of India, highlighting the achievements of Indian Space Research Organisation. The event was educational, engaging and a great success.

Constitution Day

Constitution Day was observed on 26th November 2025 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. As part of the annual celebrations, students took an oath and the Principles of the Preamble were read during the assembly. A special assembly was conducted highlighting the invaluable contributions of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar towards the framework of Indian Constitution.

Annual Day Celebration

Lok Puram Public School celebrated its Annual Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony with great enthusiasm and grandeur. On the 10th of December 2025, the Secondary Section presented the cultural show “Ekla Chalo Re,” based on inspiring stories written by Rabindranath Tagore, highlighting themes of courage, self-belief and determination. The Pre-Primary section presented the show titled “Rising Stars,” on 3^rd February 2026 showcasing the innocence, talent and confidence of the little ones through vibrant performances. On the 20th of January 2026, the Primary section staged “Panchatattva,” beautifully portraying the five elements of nature and spreading the message of environmental harmony. All the programmes reflected creativity, cultural richness and the holistic development of students across all sections.

Annual Athletic Meet 2025-26

The Sports Days for Pre-Primary, Primary & Secondary Section were celebrated on 12th December 2025, 13th December 2025 and 6th January 2026 respectively with great enthusiasm and vibrant energy. The events commenced with a disciplined and impressive March Past by all the Houses , reflecting unity, coordination and house spirit. Their synchronized steps and confident commands set a proud and dignified tone for the celebration. Well-coordinated mass drills and yoga performances showcased strength, flexibility and teamwork. Various track events and games were conducted for all sections promoting healthy competition, confidence and true sportsmanship.

Marathi Samwardhan Week

Marathi Samvardhan Saptah was celebrated from 14th January 2026 to 28th January 2026 through poster making, bulletin board decoration and essay writing activities. Students understood the value of the Marathi language and developed love and respect for the same.

Republic Day Celebrations

The 77th Republic day was celebrated in the school on January 26,2026 with great patriotism and enthusiasm. The programme began with the ceremonial flag hoisting, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Students participated in a synchronized mass drill, showcasing unity, discipline and team spirit. Patriotic songs and speeches were presented, highlighting the importance of the Constitution and the values of democracy.

Marathi Diwas

Marathi Diwas was celebrated in our school on 27th February 2026.The day marks the birth anniversary of Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar, known as Kusumagraj. Students recited poems and delivered speeches in Marathi. The celebration encouraged students to respect and love the State Language.

National Science Day

National Science Day was celebrated in our school on 28th February with great enthusiasm. The day commemorates the discovery of the Raman Effect by the great Indian scientist C. V. Raman. This day highlighted the importance of science in our daily life with a well decorated bulletin board full of scientific ideas.

FAREWELL CEREMONY OF STD X

Lok Puram Public School hosted the Farewell Ceremony of Std X batch of 2026–2027 on January 31 ,2026 in the gracious presence of the Members of the Management, Lok Foundations .It was a shower of heartfelt good wishes and blessings as the students were embarking on their journey of future success. The programme commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries followed by the Tilak Ceremony and gifting of folders with the school name imprinted on them as a token of love and bonding towards the students.

A short cultural programme ‘School Gate’was presented by the students of Std IX primary and preprimary students to bid adieu to their seniors. Awards, games, music, traditional and western dances kept the students enthralled tapping their feet. The highlight of the programme was the Awards Ceremony in various categories and the centre point was the titles of Master and Miss Lok Puram awarded to the best All Round Performers .The final words of motivation from the Principal instilled confidence in the student for their upcoming examinations and future endeavours.

ACADEMIC SESSION 2024-2025

ANNUAL DAY

Lok Puram Public School celebrated the Annual Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony for the Secondary Section on December 5, 2024, at Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruh, Thane, with immense enthusiasm and fervor. The event was graced by the distinguished members of the management, Lok Foundations: Mrs. Rajniben Gandhi, Chairperson, Shri. Bakul B. Avarani, Trustee and Administrator, Ms Umaben Mucchala, Member Governing Council, Shri. Ramesh D. Vora, Advisor and Mrs. Shraddha Gandhi, Member Governing Council whose presence added a divine aura to the celebration.

Invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, the program was initiated by the school song followed by a vibrant welcome song that set the tone for the celebration. Heartfelt speeches honouring the dignitaries, special guests, and parents highlighted the importance of their support in the school’s journey. The Annual School Report presented by Principal Dr. Lipika Chandra, eloquently outlined the school’s significant achievements across academics and co-curricular activities, showcasing the school’s role in shaping well-rounded students.

The event gained momentum with the Prize Distribution Ceremony, wherein high scorers in AISSE 2023-24 were felicitated. In addition, students excelling in Co-Curricular Competitions at the District, National, and International Levels received awards, celebrating their hard work and talent. The ceremony reached its finale with the announcement of Sapphire House as the proud recipient of the Best House Trophy for the second consecutive year, a testament to the dedication and teamwork of the students and teachers.

The grandeur of the Celebration further progressed with the band presentation by the Girls Squad of Lok Puram Public School setting the tribal music with their magical touch of fingers. Adding jewels to the event, the cultural show “Prashna Chinh”: A Call for Reflection on Relationships and Global Challenges,” resonated deeply with the audience. The symbol of the question mark served as a reminder to reflect on the fragile nature of human relationships, the state of our environment, and the global challenges we face. It challenged everyone present to reflect on how, as individuals and communities, we can take meaningful actions to shape a future that is both harmonious and sustainable for generations to come.d an exceptional performance that combined music, dance & drama effectively conveying a powerful message which captivated and engaged the audience throughout the programme.

The Annual Day concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, followed by the National Song. Under the visionary leadership of Principal Dr. Lipika Chandra, the event beautifully showcased the school’s holistic approach to education, seamlessly integrating academic excellence, co-curricular achievements & core values. The accomplishments of both the institution and its students were met with widespread appreciation from guests and parents.

Annual Athletic Meet 2024-25

Lok Puram Public School, Thane, hosted its eagerly awaited Annual Athletic Meet for the Pre Primary, Primary & Secondary Section on _– December, 13th December 2024 & 4th January, 2025 respectively. The school grounds, beautifully adorned with vibrant colours and festive banners set the stage for a day filled with excitement, energy, and sportsmanship showcasing the school’s commitment to physical fitness, sports excellence and teamwork.

The event began with a warm welcome to the esteemed dignitaries Shri Bakul B. Avarani, Trustee and Administrator, Lok Founations; Shri Ramesh D. Vora, Advisor, Lok Foundations & the Principal, Dr. Lipika Chandra. The dignitaries were honored with a Guard of Honour, presented by the students as a gesture of respect, officially kicking off the celebrations.

A motivational song by the school choir lifted the spirits of all present followed by a welcome address by the School Sports Captain. The atmosphere grew even more thrilling with the synchronized March Past which highlighted the discipline and unity of the four Houses-Ruby, Topaz, Emerald and Sapphire. The Oath-taking Ceremony was a key moment wherein house representatives pledged to uphold values of honesty, integrity and sportsmanship, setting a positive tone for the day’s events.

The most anticipated moment of the day came when the Principal declared the meet open. To mark the occasion, white pigeons were released by the dignitaries symbolizing higher goals and aspirations of the school and the students. Track events like relay races, hurdle races, lemon-and-spoon races and tug-of-war fostering camaraderie among participants.

The end of the track and field events was marked by the Prize Distribution Ceremony. The sports Championship Trophy in Secondary Section was lifted by Ruby House while Sapphire House secured the Runner’s-up Trophy. In Primary Section Emerald House won the Champion’s Trophy & Topaz -House was declared the First Runner’s-up.

The event concluded with the retreat of the flag by the Principal. Concluded by appreciating the meticulous efforts of students and teachers in making the event a success.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

The school celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June 2024 with a mass Yoga Session organised in the school. Students from Nursery to Std X enthusiastically demonstrated a variety of asanas. The day commenced with chanting of hymns & prayers & followed with the performance of different yoga postures simple to complex from Pranayam, Surya namaskar, Padmasana, Bhujangasana etc in synchronization and harmony under the guidance of instructors. The session concluded with meditation.

Yoga imparted endurance, patience, attention, strength, and flexibility to the pupils during this session. In addition, in the morning assembly, speakers raised awareness of the value of yoga practice. Also, on exhibit were student-made charts detailing the advantages of various yoga asanas.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

‘Students of today are the leaders of tomorrow’

The School Investiture Ceremony was held on 25th June 2024 & 27th June 2024 for Secondary and Primary Sections respectively to foster leadership qualities and team spirit among the students.

The ceremony commenced with lighting of the lamp & Saraswati Vandana by the school choir group. The Principal, Dr. Lipika Chandra & Sr. Headmistress, Mrs. Deepa Bhattacharya then administered the Oath of Office to the newly elected members of the School Cabinet. Badges and Sashes were adorned to the office Bearers.This was followed by the candle ceremony wherein the School Principal passed the flame of hope and positivity to the School Captain and Sports Captain. Thereafter, the Principal addressed the Office Bearers. She congratulated and wished them to solemnly take up their duties and responsibilities with utmost dedication and diligence. The ceremony concluded with a speech by the School Captain, who pledged to maintain the sanctity of his post. The occasion was also graced by the Trustee and Administrator, Lok Foundations – Shri Bakul Avarani.

RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATIONS

Raksha Bandhan is a special bond of brotherly affection that lasts forever and provides protection. The School celebrated the festival of Rakshabandhan through Rakhi making competition for Std VI to VIII on 14th August 2024. The theme was ‘Ecofriendly Rakhi’.

Students made beautiful rakhis by using various biodegradable, sustainable and natural materials along with different colour palettes like warm , cool and rainbow colours.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

Lok Puram Public School marked the celebration of 78th Independence Day on 15th August 2024 with a plethora of activities for the students of Std VI to X conducted from 12th August to 15th August 2024. Activities such as speeches highlighting the contribution of our Freedom Fighters in attaining Independence, Inter-House Patriotic Song Competition, Poster making on ‘My Country, My Pride’, Slogan writing & Social Advertisement on ‘Flag of India’ & ‘Clean India, Green India’ etc were conducted.

Primary Section also celebrated Independence Day with full fervor and spirit with the activities such as Collage & Painting of the Indian Tricolour Flag, made National Symbols of India, Slogan Writing & Poster making on Patriotism & Patriotic Group Song Competition.

The day commenced with the Principal Dr. Lipika Chandra unfurling the National flag in the school premises followed by the National Anthem sung in unison. The Principal addressed the student cabinet & the staff members and encouraged everyone to contribute and play their crucial role in making Bharat a super power.

The celebration followed with patriotic songs,rendering of slogans & speech by the school captain, highlighting the glory of India.

Besides, the school in its initiative to foster sustainable development of the environment organized a tree plantation drive in Lok Upvan, Co-operative Housing Society wherein the children planted saplings promising their commitment to environment conservation.The occasion reinforced the spirit of unity, love and oneness amongst each one present there.

TEACHERS’ DAY

Teachers Day was celebrated on 5th September 2024 to pay respect towards the mentors & to commemorate the birth of the Second President of India – Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a philosopher and a great teacher.

Student teachers of Std X taught the students with great enthusiasm. The occasion was illuminated by the gracious presence of the Members of Management – Mrs. Rajniben Gandhi, Chairperson , Lok Foundations, Shri Bakul B Avrani, Trustee & Administrator ,Lok Foundations and Shri Ramesh Vora, Advisor, Lok Foundations.

Principal Dr. Lipika Chandra, leading the school at the forefront expressed her gratitude towards the school management for their constant blessings and strong support.

To make the day special, students of Std X along with the participants of Primary and Pre Primary sections enthralled the teachers with a short cultural programme to showcase their love & gratitude.

HINDI DIWAS CELEBRATION

Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 14th September 2024, through various activities for students of Std VI to IX, like Poster making, Slogan writing & Speeches highlighting the importance of Hindi language as our Rajbhasha.

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS

Diwali, the festival of prosperity, lights & knowledge was celebrated on 21st October 2024, showcasing the creative brilliance of our students through a variety of engaging activities like Diya Decoration, Poster Painting on Diwali, Pot Painting, Paper Bag Making, Greeting Card Making, Salad Decoration, Rangoli, toran & Lantern Making etc.

REPUBLIC DAY

The school celebrated 76th Republic Day with patriotic hues. Students delivered speeches, patriotic songs were sung , posters & slogans glorifying the motherland was creatively displayed by the students on the eve. The day marked with hoisting the Tri Colour & taking oath to serve the nation. The air filled up with the musical presentation & melodious chorus of patriotic songs by the students & staff. Principal took the platform to render the importance of the constitution & contributions of stalwarts in these 76 years towards the development of our country, in her address to the students. Students & teachers actively took part in Prabhat Pheri. The celebration ended with the National Anthem.

It was a burst of heartfelt good wishes as the students were embarking on their journey of future success. The programme commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries followed by the Tilak Ceremony and gifting of lamps as mementos to signify the light of divinity ,wisdom and intellect.

A short cultural programme “Milestone” was presented by the students of Std IX to bid audieu to their seniors. Awards, games, music, traditional and western dances kept the students tapping their feet. The highlight of the programme was the Awards Ceremony in various categories and the centre point was the titles of Mst. And Miss Lok Puram awarded to the best All Round Performers on the basis of Mental Applications , Case based situations and Talent Hunt rounds. The final words of motivation from the Principal instilled confidence in the student for their upcoming examinations and future endeavours.

ANNUAL DAY

Lok Puram Public School celebrated the Annual day and Prize Distribution Ceremony of Secondary Section on 7th December 2023 at Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruha, Thane with great enthusiasm and exuberance. The show embarked with the divine blessings of prayer song and the presentation of Annual Report by the Principal. It was a leaf through the meritorious AISSE Results, Achievements and Accomplishments, followed by the Felicitation and Prize Distribution ceremony of the students who set an exemplary record in AISSE Results, Scholastic, Co- Scholastic & Sports achievers.The highlight was the cultural show ‘Prayas’. The dance drama was woven through the threads of motivational life journey and famous literary works of the great poet Kalidasa. He exemplified that wings of potential can neither be clipped nor measured. It is through sheer practice, perseverance and persistence that any summit can be conquered.

The Annual Day of Primary & Pre Primary section was celebrated on 22nd January & 2nd February, 2024 respectively at Kashinath Ghanekar Natyagruha, Thane. The cultural show ‘Colours of Life’ for grade III, VI & V and ‘Gift of Nature’ for grade I & II unfurled in all its splendor with a breathtaking performance by the students. The tiny- tots of Pre Primary mesmerised the large gathering with their power- packed performances on the theme ‘Children’s World’.

ANNUAL ATHLETIC MEET 2023 – 2024

The School celebrated its Annual Sports Day for Pre Primary Section, Primary Section and Secondary Section on 13th December 2023, 12th December 2023 and 5th January 2024 respectively. The esteemed dignitaries,Principal, Administrator & Trustee of Lok Foundations, Member Advisory Committee, Lok Foundations and Senior Headmistress were escorted with Guard of Honour to emblaze the occasion.

The day unfolded with the Oath taking ceremony & declaration of the ‘Sports Meet Open’ by the Principal. A well coordinated and high spirited march past under the leadership of the School Sports Captain was a feast to the eye. Carrying forth the excitement, various forms of exercise drills like yoga, gymnastics and zumba were performed. Lighting the Torch marked the setting of the track events.

The most awaited event of the day was the Prize distribution ceremony. Ruby House from Secondary Section and Topaz House from Primary Section were declared the Winning House of the year.

EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS

The School celebrated Earth Day through a week-long celebration from 22nd April 2023 to 27th April 2022. Our environmental legacy is a testament to the power of collective action to join hands in safeguarding our planet. The students of Std VI to X actively took part to step up the efforts to combat climate change, protect biodiversity, and preserve our ecosystems through the following activities:

Std VI – Chart Making with thumb impression of students promising to save the Earth.
Std VII – Poster Designing on ‘Connect with Nature’ using leaves, twigs, flowers etc.

Lok Puram Public School celebrated National Reading week from 19th June to 24th June 2023 to honour the initiation of the library movement by P.N. Panickeron.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

The school celebrated 9th International Yoga Day with various activities on 21st June 2023 with a mass Yoga Session organised in the school. Students from Nursery to Std X excitedly performed various asanas which commenced with chanting of shlokas and concluded with Pranayam and Meditation. Beside this, awareness speeches on the importance of practicing yoga were delivered in the morning assembly. In addition Charts by students on various postures of yoga asanas and their benefits were also displayed.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

The School Investiture Ceremony was held on 28th June 2023 & 30th June 2023 for Secondary and Primary Sections respectively to encourage and kindle leadership qualities in young prodigies. The prestigious occasion commenced with Saraswati Vandana by the school choir group. Principal – Dr. Lipika Chandra & Sr. Headmistress Mrs. Deepa Bhattacharya pinned the badges to the members of Student Council and administered the oath of Office. The occasion was graced by the Trustee and Administrator ,Lok Foundations – Shri Bakul Avarani.

The School Captain, Sports Captain, House Prefects and Sports House Prefects adorned with sashes and badges took the responsibility of leading their school with utmost commitment, confidence and competence. Candles were lit to take the pledge to uphold the school motto of Loyalty, Truth and Honour in high esteem. The event reinstated faith in the calibre and leadership of future generations.

RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATIONS

Raksha Bandhan is an unique bond of protection & eternal sibling love. Lok Puram Public School took a step forward to create this incessant bond with the Motherland through Rakhi making competition for the students of Std VI to VIII on 12th August, 2023. The theme was ‘I Love My Tiranga’. The students made beautiful rakhis by using various materials representing the Tricolour.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

Lok Puram Public School celebrated the 77th year of India’s Independence on 15th August 2023 with solemnity and pride. The auspiciousness of the program began with Hon’ble Principal hoisting the National Flag. Pledge was taken holding the CLAY DIYAS to serve for the betterment & development of our nation. The significance of clay diya was to promote ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Viksit Bharat’ with the use of local products. The celebration caught momentum with the melodious patriotic songs and chanting of patriotic slogans. The day concluded with the tree plantation drive by the students and teachers to make Earth a greener planet.

TEACHERS’ DAY

Teachers Day was celebrated on 5th September 2023 to commemorate the birth of the second President of India – Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a philosopher and a great teacher. Student teachers of Std X taught the students with great enthusiasm. A short cultural programme consisting of Speeches, Dance and Songs was presented by the students of Pre Primary, Primary & Std X enthusiastically to showcase their love and gratitude towards their mentors.

Annual Book Exhibition

Annual Book Exhibition 2023-24 was organised for the students on 30th September 2023. An Array of Books by Famous writers, Periodicals, Magazines, Resource books of various subjects & journals were on display. This inculcates & promotes the reading habits in the students.

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH WEEK

World Mental Health Week under the initiative of ‘Manodarpan’ by GOI was observed from 4th to 10th October 2023 for Std VI to IX through the activities like chart making, slogan writing, poster making etc. on the importance of inner happiness & socio-emotional aspects for holistic development. This initiative aims to provide psychosocial support to students, teachers and families for mental health and emotional well-being.

NATIONAL UNITY DAY

National Unity Day, to mark the birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was observed on 31st October 2023 for Std VI to IX with a plethora of activities like Designing Posters, Essay Writing, Collage making & Story writing to highlight the cultural harmony of ‘Unity in Diversity’ & the importance of solidarity for the development of the nation.

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS

Diwali, the festival of lights was celebrated on 26.10. 2023 through a cluster of creative & colourful competitions for students of Std VI to X like Diya Decoration, Designer Paper Bag Making, Pot Painting, Rangoli, Greeting Card, Toran & Kandil Making, Salad Making, Canvas Madhubani Painting etc. Students put their best creative foot forward & participated enthusiastically.

BHARATIYA BHASHA UTSAV

As directed by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the school celebrated Bharatiya Bhasha Utsav with the theme, ‘Bhashaye Anek, Bhav Ek’, on 11th December 2023. Students of Std VI to IX enthusiastically participated in the activities like creating a signature chart in regional dialect, giving self awareness speech in their mother tongue, singing songs & reciting poems in regional languages etc. This was an endeavour for the students to create interest in local languages and enhance linguistic tolerance, thereby promoting national integration.

VEER BAAL DIWAS

Veer Baal Diwas was celebrated to pay homage to the great valour and supreme sacrifice of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, the younger sons of tenth Sikh-Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji, on 23.12.2023. Multifarious activities were conducted for Std VI to X, like Story Narration on the valour and sacrifice of Sahibzadas, Animated Movie ‘Chaar Sahibzada’ depicting their ethics and values was shown, Picture Gallery was made on the life of Zorawar Singh ji and Fateh Singh ji & students participated in the online Quiz of ‘My Bharat Portal’.

MAKAR SANKRANTI

Makar Sankranti, the auspicious festival of Uttarayan, also known as the harvest festival was celebrated on 16.01.2024 with great zeal. Tiny tots of Pre Primary created beautiful artworks depicting the various celebrations of Makar Sankranti. Students of Std VI to VIII made kites with messages and quotes on them. Speech on the astronomical aspect behind the celebration was disseminated as a part of the morning assembly. Students also presented folk songs expressing joy over the advent of a new harvest season.

REPUBLIC DAY

The school celebrated 75th Republic Day with great patriotic fervor on 26th January, 2024. The programme commenced with the unfurling of the tricolour by the Administrator & Trustee, Lok Foundations & the Principal. The attendees saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves to uphold the honour, integrity, and uniqueness of the country. Students showcased unity through a spirited march past, stirring motivational speeches and harmonious Patriotic group singing. The event concluded with the National anthem.

FAREWELL CEREMONY OF STD X (2023 – 2024)

Lok Puram Public School conducted the Farewell Ceremony for the students of Std X on 2nd February, 2024. It was a burst of cheerful greetings and heartfelt good wishes as the students were embarking on their journey of future success. Principal & Members of Management blessed the students with Tilak Ceremony. Fun n frolic filled the air with the presentation of a short cultural programme ‘Yadein’ by the students of Std VIII & IX. Awards, games,music, drama, cultural folk & western dances kept the students tapping their feet. The final words of the Principal,motivated & instilled confidence in the students for their upcoming examinations & future endeavours.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

73rd Independence Day was celebrated with deep reverence for the nation on 15th August 2020. The Principal along with the Headmistress hoisted the National Flag . To mark the day, all the students made tri -colour flags and pinned the flags on their uniform during the online classes. Online Patriotic Song and Speeches glorifying the nation on Independence Day were also presented by the students.

TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION

Teachers Day was celebrated online on 5th September 2020. Students of Std X enthusiastically prepared a short programme comprising of Speeches, Dance and Songs to showcase their love and gratitude towards their mentors.
