World Environment  Day Celebration

On June 5, 2025, our school enthusiastically celebrated World Environment Day with a series of engaging, student-led activities focused on raising environmental awareness. Each class contributed in unique and meaningful ways. Class 6 created informative charts on clean energy, highlighting the importance of sustainable power sources. Class 7 showcased creativity through a ‘Best Out of Waste’ competition, transforming everyday waste into useful items. Class 8 presented detailed flowcharts on land degradation, explaining its causes and suggesting preventive steps. Class 9 focused on tiger conservation by marking tiger reserves on the map of India, learning about their locations and the need to protect them. Class 10 poured their thoughts into touching poems on “Save the Roar,” blending emotion with a strong message for wildlife protection. The event was a powerful reminder of the role students can play in building a greener future.

International Yoga Day

Yoga is the golden key that unlocks the door to peace, tranquility, and joy.”

On 21st June 2025,International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students and teachers at Lok Puram Public School with great enthusiasm. Students of grade I to X demonstrated various yoga asanas. The School Principal along with staff members participated actively in the Yoga session. The students demonstrated postures ranging from the gentle calm of Pranayama, the energizing flow of Surya Namaskar, to the poised strength of Padmasana and Bhujangasana. Each asana performed in synchrony, reflecting unity, balance, and coordination was not merely a physical exercise, but a soulful experience that nurtured body, mind, and spirit.

Investiture Ceremony

‘Shaping Leaders, Crafting Futures’

The investiture ceremony was an occasion to celebrate the indomitable spirit of resilience and empathy and felicitate the new torch bearers of the student body The newly elected Student Council of the primary section were sworn in at the Investiture Ceremony held on the 24th of June, 2025 followed by the secondary section ceremony on the 26th of June 2025.

Initiated by the traditional lighting of the lamp, it was a sight to behold as the School Captain, Vice-captain,Sports House Captain and Vice Captains followed by the office bearers from each class, marched smartly to receive their sashes and badges from the Principal .The Principal administered the oath to the council members.

The office bearers were pinned badges by Trustee and Administrator ,Lok Foundations Shri Bakul.B. Avarani and the School Principal. The investiture ceremony ended with a promise of hardwork and dedication and unwavering zeal by the newly appointed office bearers.

Scholastic Book Exhibition

The Scholastic Book Exhibition was held on 26th July 2025 for students and parents. A wide range of books—including works by renowned authors, coffee table books, activity books, atlas, magazines, journals and question banks—were showcased. The event aimed to foster a love for reading by choice, not compulsion, encouraging students to explore the joy of books.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration

To strengthen the bond of love between brother and sister and to enhance the creativity of students Rakhi making Competition was organized on 2nd of August for all classes.

The enthusiastic participants created beautiful handmade rakhis using different articles like thread ribbon stickers etc. It was quite fascinating to see a myriad of colourful rakhis weaved with love and affection in an eco – friendly way.

Independance Day Celebration

On 15th August 2025, the school celebrated 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The entire school was decorated with tricolour flags, balloons and handmade posters made by students, creating a festive atmosphere.

The Principal hoisted the national flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. In an inspiring speech, the Principal spoke about the significance of the day, paid tribute to the freedom fighters, and encouraged students to work hard and contribute to building a better India.The School Captain addressed the gathering and spoke about the responsibilities of the youth in shaping the future of the nation. His speech was confident and motivating, highlighting the importance of unity, hard work, and discipline.

A cultural programme followed, wherein both students and staff sang patriotic songs that filled the atmosphere with pride and emotion. The performances were heart-touching and reminded everyone of the sacrifices made for our freedom.

As part of the day’s events, a Tree Plantation Drive under the CBSE initiative ‘Ek Ped Maa Kay Naam’ was organized within the school campus. Students enthusiastically planted saplings, promoting the message of a green and sustainable future thereby contributing towards a cleaner and greener India.

Teachers Day Celebrations

Teachers’ Day was joyously celebrated on 4th September 2025, to honour the mentors who shape minds and nurture futures. The day also marked the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India — a revered philosopher, statesman, and an exceptional teacher whose life continues to inspire generations.

In a heartwarming tribute, the student teachers of Std X stepped into the shoes of their mentors and conducted classes across the school with great enthusiasm and confidence, bringing energy and excitement to the day.Activities for bagless day were pre-planned complete with subject integrated games,hands on learning and interactive method.

The cultural celebration was further elevated by the gracious presence of the Members of Management
Mrs. Rajniben Gandhi, Chairperson, Lok Foundations,Shri Bakul B. Avrani, Trustee & Administrator, Lok Foundations , Shri Ramesh Vora, Advisor, Lok Foundations,Dr Lipika Chandra,Member Governing Council,Lok Foundations and Principal Mrs Manjusha Bapat.

Their presence and encouragement added a special significance to the occasion.The Principal expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the management for their continued support and guidance, which empowers the school to strive for excellence.

To mark the spirit of the day, the students of Std X, along with enthusiastic participants from the Primary and Pre-Primary sections, presented a delightful cultural programme. Through song, dance, and expression, they celebrated their teachers and conveyed deep appreciation for their tireless efforts and boundless dedication.

The day was a true reflection of love, respect, and the profound bond shared between teachers and students — a celebration of learning, inspiration, and heartfelt gratitude.

BAGLESS DAY IN SCHOOL

Bagless Day  was observed on September 4,2025.Students celebrated learning in a fun, hands-on way through a series of engaging and interactive activities across subjects. In English, they created positive affirmations to boost confidence and language skills. Maths came alive with experiential learning—students explored concepts like the midpoint theorem, perimeter, area, and perfect squares through games such as tic-tac-toe and creative activities. Picture comprehension exercises on the whiteboard enhanced visual thinking and interpretation skills. In Social Studies, students brought history and civics to life through role play, making learning both memorable and meaningful. The day concluded with an exciting quiz that sparked healthy competition and reinforced knowledge. It was a joyful celebration of learning beyond books!

Hindi Diwas Celebration

Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 14th September 2024 with great enthusiasm across classes VI to IX. To mark the occasion and to honor Hindi as our Rajbhasha (official language), a series of engaging activities were organized for the students. These included poster making, slogan writing and inspirational speeches that emphasized the significance and rich heritage of the Hindi language.

The celebration aimed to instill a sense of pride in our national language and to encourage students to appreciate and promote the use of Hindi in their daily lives.

Annual School Book Exhibition 2025-2026

To promote  reading culture among young learners and inspire them to make reading a lifelong habit,  Annual School Book Exhibition was held on 26th and 27th of September 2025.The exhibition received an overwhelming response from students, teachers and visitors. The event successfully showcased a wide range of books across various genres, encouraging  love for reading and learning.

Swacchta Fortnight

Swacchta Fortnight was  observed in the school from 16th September to 30th September as per the  directives of  State Education Department with the objective to sensitize students about cleanliness and proper disposal of waste. As part of the initiative students took a pledge on cleanliness. Various activities such as essay writing, slogan making, poetry recitation, painting etc. were carried out .

World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day which serves as a crucial occasion to raise global awareness about the importance of mental health was observed  in the school on October 10,2025.

A gratitude wall was made to display gratitude cards prepared by children. Charts portraying the importance of millets in developing a healthy mind and body  served as an eyeopener to all. Yoga and meditation sessions for mental health enhancement and harmony were conducted in the entire school.

Celebration of 150 Years of Vande Mataram

The school celebrated 150 years of Vande Mataram on 7th November 2025 through mass singing of the national song, essay writing, poster making etc on the same.

Janjatiya Gaurav Diwa

Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas was celebrated on 15th November 2025, to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, acknowledging his contribution to the freedom struggle and cultural heritage. Awareness activities like speeches, story telling, documentary on Birsa Munda, tribal art forms were focussed upon to  provide insight about the sacrifices and contributions of Janjatiya heroes in the freedom struggle of India.

Annual Project Display 2025–26

Annual Project Display 2025–26 on the theme “Journey to Space” was held on 22nd November 2025. Students from the Primary Section prepared informative charts and creative models and confidently explained their topics to parents. Each class explored different subtopics: Std I – The Story of Sky, Std II – Meet the Planets, Std III – My Rocket Adventure, Std IV – Life of an Astronaut and Std V – Space Explorers of India, highlighting the achievements of Indian Space Research Organisation. The event was educational, engaging and a great success.

Constitution Day

Constitution Day was observed on 26th November 2025 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. As part of the annual celebrations, students took an oath and the Principles of the Preamble were read during the assembly. A special assembly was conducted highlighting the invaluable contributions of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar towards the framework of Indian Constitution.

Annual Day Celebration

Lok Puram Public School celebrated its Annual Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony with great enthusiasm and grandeur. On the 10th of December 2025, the Secondary Section presented the cultural show “Ekla Chalo Re,” based on inspiring stories written by Rabindranath Tagore, highlighting themes of courage, self-belief and determination. The Pre-Primary section presented the show titled “Rising Stars,” on 3rd February 2026 showcasing the innocence, talent and confidence of the little ones through vibrant performances. On the 20th of January 2026, the Primary section staged “Panchatattva,” beautifully portraying the five elements of nature and spreading the message of environmental harmony. All the programmes reflected creativity, cultural richness and the holistic development of students across all sections.

Annual Athletic Meet 2025-26

The Sports Days for Pre-Primary, Primary & Secondary Section were celebrated on 12th December 2025, 13th December 2025 and 6th January 2026 respectively   with great enthusiasm and vibrant energy. The events commenced with a disciplined and impressive March Past by all the Houses , reflecting unity, coordination and house spirit. Their synchronized steps and confident commands set a proud and dignified tone for the celebration. Well-coordinated mass drills and yoga performances showcased strength, flexibility and teamwork. Various track events and games were conducted for all sections promoting healthy competition, confidence and true sportsmanship.

Marathi Samwardhan Week

Marathi Samvardhan Saptah was celebrated from 14th January 2026 to 28th January 2026 through poster making, bulletin board decoration and essay writing activities. Students understood the value of the Marathi language and developed love and respect for the same.

Republic Day Celebrations

The 77th Republic day was celebrated in the school on January 26,2026 with great patriotism and enthusiasm. The programme began with the ceremonial flag hoisting, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Students participated in a synchronized mass drill, showcasing unity, discipline and team spirit. Patriotic songs and speeches were presented, highlighting the importance of the Constitution and the values of democracy.

Marathi Diwas

Marathi Diwas was celebrated in our school on 27th February 2026.The day marks the birth anniversary of Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar, known as Kusumagraj. Students recited poems and delivered speeches in Marathi. The celebration encouraged students to respect and love the State Language.

National Science Day

National Science Day was celebrated in our school on 28th February with great enthusiasm. The day commemorates the discovery of the Raman Effect by the great Indian scientist C. V. Raman. This day highlighted the importance of science in our daily life with a well decorated bulletin board full of scientific ideas.

FAREWELL CEREMONY OF STD X

Lok Puram Public School hosted the Farewell Ceremony of Std X batch of 20262027 on January 31 ,2026 in the gracious presence of the Members of the Management, Lok Foundations .It was a shower of heartfelt good wishes  and blessings as the students were embarking on their journey of future success. The programme commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries  followed by the Tilak Ceremony and gifting of  folders with the school name imprinted on them as a token of love and bonding towards the students.

A short cultural programme ‘School Gate’was presented by the students of Std IX primary and preprimary students to bid adieu to their seniors. Awards, games, music, traditional and western dances kept the students enthralled tapping their feet. The highlight of the programme was the Awards Ceremony in various categories and the centre point was the titles of Master and Miss Lok Puram awarded to the best All Round Performers .The final words of motivation from the Principal instilled confidence in the student for their upcoming examinations and  future endeavours.
