ACADEMIC SESSION 2024-2025

SCHOOL CLUBS

The Motto of the school is to provide a nourishing environment to the young talents and give them necessary thrust towards enhancing scholastic as well as co – scholastic skills. In pursuance of this objective, the school has set up Clubs such as Eco Club, Health & Wellness Club, Yuva & Heritage Club & Interact Club. Each Club functions according to its planned schedule to generate curiosity, cultivate moral & civic sense, incorporate social skills & sensitize them towards conservation of the environment .

ECO CLUB

The Eco Club asserts the importance of ‘Learning to live sustainably’ by empowering students to take up meaningful activities and projects  related to conservation. The school has its Mission Statement – Reduce, Recycle, Reuse and Replenish. In accordance, the following activities were conducted:

Std VI – Children made Artifacts, wrote Slogans & made Posters on ‘Save Earth’ , ‘ Planet vs Plastics’, ‘Using Clean Energy’, ‘Saving Water’ ‘Reducing Pollution’,  ‘Eco Friendly Home Decor’ & ‘Gift Pouches using Old Clothes’.  

 .

Std VII – Students made Posters on the topic ‘Connect with Nature’ using natural colours from leaves, twigs, flowers etc, made Collages depicting how ‘Urbanisation, Industrialisation & Other human activities are causing harm to the environment’, ‘Food Preparation without the use of Fire’ & made ‘Decorative Gift Wrapping Papers’ using old newspapers & notebook pages .

Std VIII – Students made Greeting Cards using old decorative objects & Charts on ‘Reasons for Land Degradation & Measures Taken for its Restorations’,  ‘Monitoring the Energy Conservation’ at home & bringing it down by adopting effective measures & ‘Suggesting Measures for Eco- Friendly Celebrations’.

Std IX & X  – Students moulded Decorative Items from Paper Mache made from waste papers, made ‘Flannel Board’ using old clothes, cardboard etc, ‘Eco friendly Bricks’, ‘Lanterns & Torans’ using old CDs, batteries, pens, empty cans etc, Planted Vegetables & Herbs in pots to make a Kitchen Garden, made Charts on ‘Sustainable Measures for a Safe Environment’, ‘Project Tiger’ & ‘Eco friendly Homes of India’.

YUVA & HERITAGE CLUB

The Club encourages and nurtures to develop young ambassadors to promote the rich cultural tapestry of Indian history & nurture patriotism amongst students by indulging them in several related hands on projects and celebration of important days through various activities for Std VI to X:

Std VI & VII  – Students made Charts on the topic ‘Organic Food – a Healthy Option for Healthy Environment’, ‘Traditional Crafts of Maharashtra’ & ‘Various Forts of Maharashtra’,  ‘Handicrafts of Maharashtra’, ‘ A Fort of Maharashtra’ & wrote slogans on ‘National Unity’.

Std VIII – Students made Pictorial & Informative Charts on ‘Importance of Organic food for healthy living’ & ‘Why Pesticides are not good for soil & crop’, ‘Forts of Thane’, made ‘Local Artifacts & Handicrafts of Maharashtra’ & ‘Stories on the Life of Sardar Vallabhai Patel’.

Std IX & X – Students made Illustrative & Informative Charts on ‘Save soil for growing of leguminous crop, which increase the fertility of the soil’, ‘Measures to be taken to promote Local Industries & Handicrafts’,  ‘Legendary Stories on Shivaji’s connection with the Forts of Maharashtra’, prepared Brochure on ‘ Any Fort of Maharashtra’, Researched on ‘ Vocal for Local Programme by the Government’ & wrote Essay on ‘National Unity Day’ & ‘Sardar Vallabhai Patel’. 

HEALTH & NUTRITION CLUB

The Health Club promotes healthy living- physical, emotional, mental, social & spiritual well being among the children. Students have undertaken several activities to foster integrated growth of mind & body:

Std VI – Students made Wheel & Illustrative charts on ‘How the sun is the source of energy for plants, animals and human beings’, ‘Borne diseases caused during monsoon & its precautions’, ‘Waterborne Diseases caused during Monsoons & their Precautions’, ‘Benefits of Yoga Asanas’, ‘Balanced Diet’ & ‘Celebrations and Health Hazards linked to them’.

 

Std VII – Informative & Illustrative charts on ‘The good and bad effects of sunlight on health’ & ‘ Healthy eating habits during monsoons’, ‘Healthy Eating Habits during Monsoons’, ‘Benefits of Yoga’,‘Pyramid on Balanced Diet’ & ‘Fire Crakers & their Health Hazards’.

Std VIII – Students made Pictorial & Informative Charts on ‘Health issues during summer due to heat and precautionary measures’ & ‘Do’s & Don’ts to remain healthy & fit during monsoons’, ‘Do’s & Don’ts to remain Healthy during Monsoons, Pictorial Demonstration of ‘Surya Namaskar & its Benefits’, ‘Preparing Healthy Fast Food’ & Share the Recipe & ‘Impact of Festivals & Celebrations on Mental Wellbeing’. 

Std IX & X – Chart making on ‘UV rays and its Effects on Earth’, ‘Solar Energy – a non conventional source of energy’, ‘An Alternative for Conventional Source of Energy’, ‘Indoor Workout & Exercises  to Remain Fit during Monsoons’, ‘Common Illness during Monsoons & Home Remedies’, ‘Yoga – The Cultural History of India’, ‘Meditation & Yoga to Improve Immunity & Concentration Power’,  ‘Healthy Diet to Reduce Obesity among Students’,‘Growing Risk of Diabetes among Youth & its Precautions’ & ‘ Meditation & Music, a Great Help for Mental Wellbeing’.

INTERACT CLUB

The Installation Ceremony of the Interact Club was held on 20.06.2024 . Students are members of Interact Club, sponsored by Rotary Club of Thane, Lake City.

A Vocational Guidance Program is being organized every year for parents & students of Std X.

 In addition the school also conducts a comprehensive Aptitude Test  for the students of Std X every year to provide them inputs for the choice of stream  & to choose suitable career paths aligned with their abilities.

SCHOOL HOUSES

Children possess a unique blend of multiple talents. The School provides opportunities for the all-round development of the students through numerous activities. It not only helps the children to develop leadership qualities, self-confidence, teamwork, cooperation, competitive spirit but also imbibes good moral and social values.

 There are FOUR HOUSES in the school – RUBY, EMERALD, SAPPHIRE AND TOPAZ.

Inter House Competitions promote healthy competition among the students of four Houses.

Following Inter House competitions were organized for the students of Secondary Section:

    • English Elocution Competition for Std VIII & IX was held on 16.4.24.
    • Display Board Competition for the students of Std X was conducted on 24.4.24.
    • Display Board Competition for the students of Std VIII & IX was conducted on 19.6.24
    • Quiz Competition for Std X was conducted on 28.06.24.
    • Story  Telling Competition for Std VI & VII was conducted on 04.07.2024. 
    • English Elocution Competition for the students of Std VI & VII was conducted on 30.07.2024.
    • Smack and Knock Competition for Std X was held on 02.08.24  
    • Patriotic Song Competition  for Std VI & VII was conducted on 07. 08.2024. 
    • Newspaper Designing Competition for the students of Std VIII & IX was conducted on 09.08.2024.
    • Debate Competition for students of Std X was conducted on 01.10.2024.
    • Quiz Competition was organised for students of Std VIII & IX on 08.10.2024.
    • Sanskrit Sloka Chanting Competition was conducted for students of Std VIII & VII on 07.10.2024.

INTER HOUSE SPORTS COMPETITIONS

  • Handball Competition for Std X boys & girls were conducted on 10.4.24 & 12.4.24 respectively.
  • Dodgeball Competition for Std VI & VII girls & boys were conducted on 13.4.24 & 15.4. 24 respectively.
  • Throwball Competition for Std VIII & IX girls was conducted on 20.4.24.
  • Football for boys of Std VI – VII & VIII & IX was conducted on 22.06.24 & 27.06.24 respectively.
  • Chess Competition for boys and girls of Std VI to X  was conducted from 28.06.24 to 11.07.24.
  • Carrom Competition for Std VI to IX, boys & girls were conducted on 18.07.2024, 22.07.2024 & 26.07.2024.

PRIMARY SECTION

Following competitions were organized for the students of Primary Section:

  • English and Hindi Handwriting Competitions for Std I to V were held on 23.04.2024 and 15.06. 2024 respectively
  • Colouring Competition for Std I and II and Drawing and Colouring Competition for Std III to V was held on 22.06.2024.
  • English Recitation Competition for Std I and II was held on 05.06. 2024 and for Std III to V on 06.06. 2024.
  • Hindi Recitation Competition for Std III to V was held on 08.08. 2024 and for Std I and II on 09.08.2024.

INTER HOUSE SPORTS COMPETITIONS

  • Dodgeball Competition for Std IV & V was held on 18.04. 2024 & 19.04. 2024 respectively.
  • Chess Competition for Std IV and V was conducted on 30.06. 2024.
  • Carrom Competition for Std III to V was held on 23.08. 2024.

VALUES OF THE MONTH

In order to inculcate strong Ethical, Moral & Life Skill Values in the students, the School follows one Value in each month. Speeches & Stories highlighting on the Values are taken up during the Morning Assembly & Co – Scholastic activities conducted during the year:
