SCHOOL CLUBS

The Motto of the school is to provide a nourishing environment to the young talents and give them necessary thrust towards enhancing scholastic as well as co – scholastic skills. In pursuance of this objective, the school has set up Clubs such as Eco &Conservation Club, Health & Wellness Club, Electoral &Integrity Club,Yuva & Interact Club. Each Club functions according to its planned schedule to generate curiosity, cultivate moral & civic sense, incorporate social skills & sensitize them towards conservation of the environment .

ECO  AND CONSERVATION CLUB

The Eco Club asserts the importance of ‘Learning to live sustainably’ by empowering students to take up meaningful activities and projects related to conservation. The school has its Mission Statement – Reduce, Recycle, Reuse and Replenish. Children are active ‘ECO WARRIORS’ leaving no stone unturned to send a strong eco message to the community .In accordance the following activities were conducted.

  • The month of April was celebrated as   ‘Earth Day’and this was observed by creating awareness from class Nursery to X  in the form of Collage-making and Poster Making on ‘Save Earth’, Crafting paper bags to promote eco-friendliness,Creating Earth Day garlands to advocate a pollution-free environment,Slogan writing on ‘Save Earth’, Poster-making on ‘Save the Planet’,planting three herbs and composting.
  • In the month of June & July   the importance of World Environment Day which was celebrated on 5th June 2025 was highlighted through several hands on activities like preparation of charts on clean energy ,making best out of waste products using eco friendly material,flow charts on land degradation and measures taken to restore the same,Awareness charts and poetry on ‘Save the Roar’,National Animal Tiger and identification of major tiger reserves in the political map of India .
  • The theme of August month was ‘Energy conservation’ which saw children elucidating measures to save energy in school,charts on renewable energy,review of quarterly electricity bill and water usage audit  coupled with case study research on sustainable development.

Electoral and Integrity Club

The Club plays a pivotal role in making students understand the importance of fair elections, ethical leadership, and civic responsibility.

In the month of April, the club conducted activities on the working of democratic government .A few to mention, Poster Making on Importance of Voting, Role Play on Panchayat Election Procedure, Election Process at District, State and National Level, Awareness posters on Registration Process for Eligible Voters and Case Study on Federal and Unitary Form of Government.

In the month of June and July under the theme ‘National Symbols’, the club conducted activities on drawing and colouring the Indian National flag,elucidating the importance of Ashoka Chakra ,history & significance of Ashoka pillar, writing and translating the national song &national anthem.August saw the theme of Civic sense vibrant with colourful thought provoking posters on civic sense in public places,roads and environment.The icing to the cake was group discussions on ‘Fundamental Duties and Rights of a Citizen’by the tenth graders.

Health & Wellness Club

The Health Club promotes healthy living- physical, emotional, mental, social & spiritual well being among the children. Students have undertaken several activities to foster integrated growth of mind & body:

Under the Health and Wellness club, activities for the month of April had been aligned with CBSE Directives to educate students about the Risks of Excessive Sugar Intake. Accordingly, students of Std. IX and X researched and prepared presentation on healthy alternatives to Refined Sugar and the health risks related to excessive sugar consumption. Under the theme ‘Nutrition, Food and Health’ students of class VI to VIII , had prepared nutritious delicacies using sprouts as main ingredients, made charts on Balanced Diet and pictorially represented health hazards associated with junk food.

Under the theme ‘Yoga and Health’in the month of June&July the Health and Wellness club, undertook activities which enlightened children about different yoga postures simple to complex from Pranayam, Surya namaskar, Padmasana, Bhujangasana ,facial yoga and meditation. This objective was achieved in the form of research based charts prepared by teams of children.August month was an awareness programme in the form of poster making by all classes on adulteration in various food products and its impact on health.

The Yuva and Interact Club

The Yuva and Interact Club kick-started the new academic session with a series of vibrant and educational activities held throughout April. Aimed at promoting cultural awareness, creativity and research skills, students from Classes VI to X participated enthusiastically in various class-specific tasks.

Honouring the cultural and spiritual essence of the World’s religious gatherings a Collage Making on Maha Kumbh Mela, Article writing on the significance and celebration time of Kumbh Mela, artefacts on the palaces and forts of Rajasthan, research and report on UNESCO Heritage sites of India, chart making on the topic- Protect the Taj Mahal were conducted.This created a cultural awareness,developed creativity and a penchant for learning and knowing the rich heritage of the world and our motherland ‘India’.

Under the theme ‘Vocal for Local’,in the month of June and July activities like Charts on Local handicrafts of India, making of doormats or bags from old clothes, research on products made or grown in India was initiated by the club.

Furthermore to encourage Indian Tourism , the club activity in the month of August involved preparation of charts on thane temples, two monuments of India, report on architectural marvel of Meenakshi Temple etc.

The installation ceremony of the Interact club was held on 21st of July 2025.Students were appointed as Interact club office bearers by the Inner Wheel Rotary Club of Thane Lake City,

  • Display Board Competition for the students of Std X was conducted on 23.4.25.
  • Display Board Competition for the students of Std VIII & IX was conducted on  22.04.25
  • Quiz Competition for Std X was conducted on 22.04.25
  • Story  Telling Competition for Std VI & VII was conducted on 18.07.2025
  • English Elocution Competition for the students of Std VIII & IX was conducted on 13.06.2025
  • Smack and Knock Competition for Std X was held on  25.07.2025  
  • Patriotic Song Competition  for Std VI & VII was conducted on 01 08.2025 
  • Newspaper Designing Competition for the students of Std VIII & IX was conducted on 31.07.2025.
  • Debate Competition for students of Std X was conducted on 24.06.2025.

1) English Handwriting  Competition for standard 1 to 5 was conducted on 28.04.2025

2) Hindi Handwriting Competition for standard 1 to 5 was conducted on 16.06.2025

3) Drawing and Coloring Competition for standard 1 to 5 was conducted from 26.06.2025

4) English Recitation competition for  Std 3,4 and 5 was conducted on 08.07.2025 and for Standard  1 and 2 the  competition was held on 09.07.2025

5) Hindi Recitation competition for  Std 3,4 and 5  was conducted on 01.08 .2025 and for standard 1 and 2 the competition was held on 02.08. 2025

6) Rakhi Making Competition for standard 4 and 5 was conducted on 02.08.2025.

7) Interhouse Patriotic Group song Competition  for standard 3,4 and 5 was   conducted on 14.08.2025

  • Dodgeball Competition for Std VI & VII on 15th & 19th April 2025 respectively.

  • Football Competitions for Std. VII and VIII (Boys), Std. VII and VIII (Girls) and for Std. X were held on 17th,24th, 25th and 26th April 2025 respectively.

  • Interhouse Basketball Competition  class X(Girls) on April 28,2025
  • Interhouse carrom competition class  X(Boys) on August 4,2025

Inter-House Sports Competitions -Primary Section

  • Inter House Dodgeball Competition for Std IV & V was conducted on 23rd and 24th April, 2025 respectively and results declared.
  • Inter house Chess competition Preliminary round   for std 4 and 5 will   be held on 18th and 19th July and the Finals would  be held on 21st July, 2025.
  • Interhouse Carrom competition for Std III, IV, V was conducted in the month of August 2025.

VALUES OF THE MONTH

In order to inculcate strong Ethical, Moral & Life Skill Values in the students, the School follows one Value in each month. Speeches & Stories highlighting on the Values are taken up during the Morning Assembly & Co – Scholastic activities conducted during the year:
