The Assessment scheme will have an 80 marks component for Board Examination (Class X) and Annual Examination (Class IX) covering the entire years’ syllabus in all Scholastic Subjects along with a 20 marks component of Internal Assessment. Students have to secure minimum 33% marks separately in each of these components for promotion.

Mainstreaming Health and Physical Education

As per the recent CBSE Circular, Health and Physical Education has been
mainstreamed for Std IX & X to enable students to attain an optimum state of health. Accordingly P.T Periods have been increased in the time table.
The curriculum is divided into 4 STRANDS which are as follows:

STRAND 1 – GAMES: (50 Marks)
STRAND 2 – HEALTH & FITNESS: (25 Marks)
STRAND 3 – SEWA (Social Empowerment through Work Education & Action):

Assessment in Scholastic Subjects will be done in each Term separately :–

In Final Examination the weightage of Portion will be as follows:-

For holistic assessment, CBSE has emphasized on the importance of Discipline. So the students will be assessed on a 3 point scale (A to C) in the area of: (a) Attendance (b) Sincerity (c) Behavior (d) Values.

Primary Section

Continuous and Comprehensive system of evaluation is being followed as per CBSE curriculum. There are two Formative Assessments and one Summative Assessment in each term. It is a process to provide holistic profile of the learner through regular assessment of Scholastic and Co-Scholastic areas. The Assessment is completely integrated with the process of teaching and learning in the classroom. Teachers regularly monitor the progress of each child in a supportive environment.
