Annual School Exhibition (2025-2026)

Lok Puram Public School held its Annual School Exhibition titled SAMWAD-A talk with nature on the 23rd of August 2025. The event was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp seeking the blessings of God Almighty by the Members of the Management, Lok Foundations -Shri Bakul B. Avarani ,Trustee & Administrator, Shri Ramesh D. Vora, Advisor , Dr Lipika Chandra Member Governing Council and School Principal Mrs Manjusha Bapat .

SAMWAD was a bold attempt to raise awareness among people the about environmental issues like waste management in various industries food, cosmetic , textile ,stationary and landfills .An awareness was created about burning issues like need for local food footprint, eradication of global warming by doing micro climate monitoring ,ozone depletion , soil profile ,disposable waste and tissue paper management etc .In Samwad deeper topics like reducing carbon footprint using smart water refilling,smart irrigation , smart City ,smart Homes,use of motion sensors etc were represented in the form of working models and charts.

Sustainable solutions in the form of hydroelectricity,windturbines,solar panels emphasized the need for a rational switch to energy saving options. In addition, the School Clubs such as Eco Club, Yuva & Heritage Club, & Wellness Club charts and artifacts also won appreciation by the visitors.

Samwad was a brilliant attempt to integrate Maths and Science (both) to portray a deteriorating earth and possible solutions or remedies for the same. The competition was adjusted by Dr Indulekha , Mr Vaibhav Sawant, Mr Bibhu Bhushan Parija & Mrs Varsha Taware all of whom were competent parents from field of Science and Maths.The entire exhibition was a huge success with children coming up with logical data and solution for a better earth.

Eye Check-Up Camp

An Eye Check-Up Camp was organised in the school hall on the 9th,10th and 11th of July 2025 .All children from Nursery to class X along with the entire staff participated in the camp. Under the initiative of the Principal Mrs Manjusha Bapat the camp was organised by Wavikar Eye Institute,Thane.The objective of the programme was to identify children with vision problems and guide them so that they would be free of visual limitations.

Approximately two thousand students of the school underwent complete eye examination which was administered by five qualified Optometrists. Students got benefited from timely eye-check up and gained insight about the range of normal vision and precautions to be taken for maintaining healthy eyes.

ECO FRIENDLY GANESHA IDOL MAKING WORKSHOP

On the 25th of August 2025,the Interact club of Lok Puram Public school along with the Inner Wheel Club,Thane Hiranandani Estate brought together students from Grades 8 and 9 for a unique and creative experience – an Eco-friendly Ganesh Idol Making Workshop. This engaging session by Mrs Bhaide, President of Rotary Club of Thane Hiranandani Estate was designed to unlock the artistic potential of our young learners, while instilling valuable lessons in sustainability and environmental responsibility.

As the children immersed themselves in idol making with Shado Mati, a natural and biodegradable material, the students were delighted in the process of creating charming and beautiful Ganeshas. With the guidance from skilled facilitators, they learned the art of eco-friendly clay modeling, shaping their own Ganesha idols symbolizing the message of hope, and harmony.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR PARENTS

Orientation Programme on Assessment Pattern for the parents of Std VI to X was held on 19TH of April 2025 to update them about current changes in the Curriculum and Assessment Pattern.

WORKSHOP ON RATIONAL PARENTING

The School organised a session on Rational Parenting for the Parents of Std X on July 5,2025 with a vision to foster holistic development of the students in a conducive environment. Mrs. Ketki Raut , the School Counselor and Mrs. Seema Rao Rane, Special Educator & Guest Parents of our School Toppers in Std X Board Examination 2024

Mr. Navneet Singh and Mrs. Kanchan Sahasrabuddhe were the Resource Persons.They shared their experiences of grooming their children towards the summit of academic excellence blended with active participation in Co-curricular activities and school Programmes conducted round the year. Topics such as mindfulness, empathy towards children, setting boundaries, navigating disagreements in a constructive manner, balanced diet, etc were also touched upon by the resource persons.

The Session helped the parents gain insight about positive parenting , strategies to keep their children happy and motivated while preparing for the Board Examination.

WORKSHOPS FOR STUDENTS

FIRE SAFETY WORKSHOP

Lok Puram Public School, as part of its commitment to ensuring the safety and preparedness of its staff and students, organized an insightful Fire Safety Workshop on Saturday, 29 April 2025. The session was conducted by fire safety officer Mr Nilesh Vetal Balkum Fire Station .The workshop aimed to enhance awareness about fire safety measures and emergency protocols among the student community.

FIRST AID WORKSHOP

A First Aid Workshop was conducted on July 3,2025 to educate students on basic first aid and emergency response techniques. The session was led by Dr. Ankit Biyani, Head of Emergency at KIM Hospital, who served as the resource person. The workshop covered essential topics such as treating cuts, burns, fractures, fainting, and performing CPR. Through live demonstrations and hands-on practice, students learned how to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations. The session was informative, engaging, and significantly boosted the students’ confidence in managing real-life medical emergencies. Overall, it was a valuable and enriching experience that highlighted the importance ‘Being alert,serious health concerns will avert’.

A MOTIVATIONAL SESSION FOR STD X STUDENTS BY TOPPERS

On the 19th of July 2025 ,Lok Puram Public School organized a motivational talk by AISSE toppers for the students of Grade X, with the aim of inspiring and guiding them as they prepare for their upcoming AISSE examinations.The session featured Class X toppers(2024-2025) Ishneet Kaur,Krushna Shenoy,Uzair Khan ,Mayank Gupta and Aarya Sahastrabuddhe.

The talk was part of the school’s academic mentoring program to equip students with practical tips, emotional support and strategic guidance to handle exam stress and improve performance.

They highlighted the importance of consistency, time management and developing a positive mindset. The speakers emphasized that success is not about being perfect, but about staying committed to one’s goals. They provided practical study tips such as making a realistic timetable, focusing on NCERT textbooks, and solving past year papers. The Principal Mrs Manjusha Bapat Madam encouraged class X children to start implementing effective strategies and positive mindset to achieve their goals.

ELECTRICITY SAFETY WORKSHOP

A workshop on Electricity Safety was organised by Lok Puram Public School on the 23rd of July 2025.The resource person for the workshop was Mr Pradeep Patil Senior Engineer, Government of Maharashtra. Valuable insights on good and bad conductors of electricity, basic safety rules and prevention of electrical shocks was discussed at length with the inquisitive 7th graders.The workshop was successful in increasing awareness about faulty electrical connections, accidents and also how to take preventive measures for the same.

ROAD SAFETY WORKSHOP

A road safety workshop was recently conducted for students on August 2,2025 to educate them about safe practices on and near roads. The workshop, led by AMWI Sagar Patil, raised awareness about road safety regulations and encouraged responsible behaviour among students as pedestrians, cyclists and potentially future drivers. The workshop equipped students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate roads responsibly, understand the potential dangers of negligence and make safe choices as pedestrians and cyclists.

CAREER GUIDANCE WORKSHOP

A workshop on Career Guidance for Std. X students was organised on 7th August 2025 by Lok Puram Public School along with The Inner Wheel Club of Thane Lake City. Rotarian Mr. J.B. Kabra, the Resource Person, discussed several courses available in the country besides Engineering, Medicine, Arts, Commerce and Technology. The session provided valuable insights into holistic career development, encouraging students to assess their strengths, interests and aspirations. Through engaging discussions and real-life examples, the workshop broadened their understanding of career planning beyond academics. The interactive nature of the session allowed students to clarify doubts and gain clarity about future academic and professional paths.

SPARSH WORKSHOP ON SAFE AND UNSAFE TOUCH

An important Awareness Session on SAFE and UNSAFE TOUCH for std 1 to 5 was conducted by the SPARSH Team on 9th September, 2025. The workshop aimed to educate children about appropriate and inappropriate touch, promoting their safety and well-being

WORKSHOP BY HINDUSTAN TIMES

The leading National Daily Hindustan Times conducted workshops for students. On October 6,2025, Class 4 had a  workshop on ‘Study Habits’ while class 5 sharpened their IQ with a workshop on Memory Building .  Standard VI to VIII had workshops spread across a diverse set of educational content on the 23rd of September 2025.The topics for standard VI was Fun with Maths while standard VII and VIII were enlightened with ‘Communication Skills’. The higher classes of  IX and X  had workshops on ‘Self Assessment’ and ‘Goal Setting’ on the  13th and 14th of October 2025.The resource person  shared tips and techniques to enhance concentration skills benefits of positive attitude, role of meditation  and importance of inculcating habits for holistic development

FINANCIAL LITERACY WEEK

A workshop on ‘Financial Literacy’-21st Century Skills was conducted for class X on the 19th of October 2025.The resource person  was Mr Bharat Bansal, Vice President,Unit Trust of India.The workshop focussed on personal finance and basic fundamentals like earning, spending, saving and the pay yourself first’ principle.

APTITUDE TEST AND COUNSELLING

The school organised an Aptitude Test for Std X students on 5th October 2025 by Path Counselling Organisation. A one to one counselling & feedback session for the same was held on 23rd December 2025 with students & their respective parents.

WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS

A Career Guidance Workshop was organised for the Parents of Std X on 13th December 2025 by Rotarian Mr. J.B. Kabra who brought forward various career options available to the students as per the current trends.
